Baltimore Labs BL9000TM BioCellular Analyzer

A Fully Automated Laboratory Instrument

The BL9000 is a fully automated computerized, laboratory instrument providing ease of use and ease of mind.  The BL9000 is controlled by a personal computer that is runs on a Windows operating system (Windows 95 or greater is required).

The BL9000 employs advanced multimedia software for the user.  With a flexible, fluid design, it allows you to perform several tasks simultaneously  The screen shows visual status of the testing process, fluid levels, and test time remaining.

2-point Calibration

The BL9000 houses its own reservoirs of reagents and calibrates itself on a regular basis.  It utilizes two solutions, or two calibration points, for each of three values: pH, rH2, and r.  This is essential for good laboratory practice.  The automated BL9000 calibrates itself every morning at start up and verifies calibration on a periodic basis.

Double Junction Probes

A valuable feature of the BL9000 is double junction electrodes. Double junction electrodes create a layer of protection for accuracy against the proteins that can contaminate the electrode. This is especially important when testing blood-a substance that is not homogenous. Also, the electrodes are designed with a large surface area, and a flat-bottomed shape-a marked improvement on the standard bulb end electrode available until now.

Self Cleaning

The BL9000 houses cleaning reagents and distilled water and automatically cleans itself after every use.  This time saving feature ensures that the instrument is always ready for the next test.

Fluid Level Reporting

The BL9000 monitors the level of the reagents, informing the technician, for example, of low calibration or cleaning solutions, or a full waster container.

Lab SentryTM

Lab Sentry is a revolutionary, 21st century self-monitoring system. It is analogous to an alarm company monitoring your premises. With a telephone modem in your computer, the BL9000  will automatically call Customer Support and report any potential problems. Software updates are automatically sent to your computer-saving you loading time.

Help and Tutorial

The BL9000 software has an advanced help and tutorial system.  It's like having a personal tutor with you at all times.  Audio and visual aides combine to direct you in the use of your device, familiarizing you with the functions and features of the software.

On purchase of a BL9000, you will receive a complementary educational CD-ROM which enables you to learn everything there is to know about Biological Terrain Analysis.  It gives some history Biological Terrain as well as the science behind the measurements, it helps you interpret the data, it gives some patient examples and puts the technique in CAM context.  This audio-visual multimedia CD-ROM contains many animated slides and pop-up text fields to facilitate easy comprehension.  Before you know it, you'll interpret this test within one minute with complete confidence.

ABC© Coded CAM-NETTM

All Baltimore Laboratories BioCellular Analyzers are unique in that both the BL9000 and the BL5000 are ABC coded CAM-NET, ensuring that your use of these technologies is a reimbursable procedure.

Adapting From Earlier Technology

When developing the BL5000 and BL9000 BioCellular Analyzers, the aim of Baltimore Laboratories was to create an environment that was not only easy to operate and comprehend for users new to the idea of Biological Terrain, but also easily adaptable for those who have used earlier technology. In this way, previous users will not have to relearn what they already know; rather, they can concentrate on continuing their examinations while taking advantage of Baltimore Laboratories superior technology. In addition, you can easily import all your previous Terrain Analysis results from technology other than ours. This way you have continuity for all your patients as they progress over time.

Another way that the Baltimore Laboratories software compliments previous Biological Terrain technology is by including all the information and styles previous users are familiar with when viewing a patient's test result. This includes a table displaying complete documentation of pH, rH2, Resistivity, and µW for each specimen (including the optimum values for each); a standard histograph showing the progression of patients test results over time as well as optimum levels for each specimen; and the classic Vincent Graph including the option for displaying a representation of optimum values.
